Heavenly Eyed

Cennet Gözlüm skillfully deals with the domestic emptiness created by a prison sentence and the painful relationships built on this emptiness. In the scenes where Orhan Gencebay portrays a man who is imprisoned on the grounds of innocence, he offers a performance that deeply shows the internal conflicts of the character. Perihan Savaş fulfills her role as the lonely guardian of the ruined home with a realistic language mixed with a slight pain. The design and camera work create a visual language that increases the emotional charge throughout the film. Lighting and close-up shots are used to emphasize the emotional emptiness of the characters, drawing the viewer into the events. Music also supports the flow of the story and increases the intensity of the scenes, but in some scenes it may feel like the music is too dominant. As a result, Cennet Gözlüm is a production that deeply affects the audience both visually and emotionally. The inner journeys of the characters and the atmosphere in the film make it easier for the audience to empathize, but in some scenes a slowdown in tempo is felt.
