The story follows a woman who falls in love with her stepson. Gamze, who has a poor life, marries a business man who is old but rich, named Sedat. Thus, she can live a comfortable life. After some time, her husband suffers a heart attack. Sedat, her stepson who is still alive, comes to visit his father. Sedat falls in love with Gamze, his stepmother, at first sight. A few days later, he returns to Gamze. Gamze, who has the same feelings for Sedat, will keep them constant.

For her, the world is just a life filled with her husband's papers. Poverty is perceived as a necessity within her, but this necessity eventually transforms into a man holding her husband's papers. This situation reveals how poverty is a necessity within her. The film asks how much real life these papers can offer. The film carefully examines the relationship between Gamze and Sedat. Their love is initially presented as passion. However, this love is associated with her husband's old age and wealth. Sedat, being the son of her husband, decides to get close to Gamze and love her. This situation creates a conflict within Gamze's inner world. The relationship between love and poverty is highlighted in the film. The film questions how one should approach love. Gamze decides to live with Sedat because she loves him. However, this love is not just one person's love. Living with him means forgetting poverty and building a real life with papers. This also reflects the main question in the film: is love enough to forget poverty?
