What data we collect, why we collect it, and what your rights are.

Data we collect

• If you create an account: we store your username, e-mail address and a hashed password. We never store the password itself.
• If you write a comment: the comment text, the name you choose, and the IP address used for spam detection are recorded.
• If you vote: your score and an anonymous vote token stored in a browser cookie are kept.
• If you browse without an account: server logs record your IP address, browser and visited pages by default.

Advertising

• The site may display Google AdSense ads. Google and its partners may process the page viewed, approximate location, device and browser information for ad delivery.
• By default ads are non-personalised; interest-based ad profiles are not created.
• If personalised ads are enabled, this section will be updated and a consent mechanism added.
• About how Google uses data: policies.google.com.

What we don’t collect

• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not track you on our own systems for behavioural profiling.

Cookies

• Only the cookies needed to keep your session and your vote are used.
• Session and vote cookies are flagged HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, so third-party sites cannot read them.
• During ad delivery, Google and its partners may use their own cookies (see the Advertising section above).

Your rights

• Under the KVKK you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of the processing of your data.
• You can send such a request to the address on the contact page.
