Melis Birkan

He was born in Ankara as the only child of his family on July 15, 1982. At the age of six, during his primary and high school years, he took ballet lessons at the Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory. He completed his modern dance training while studying and working at the same university. Later, he was discovered by Özlem Durak, who would become his manager, at a party. Birkan, whose mind could not be diverted from acting, began getting used to the cameras by hosting the program "Tarz-ı Hayat." In 2005, he appeared in the series "Çapkın." In 2006, he acted in the film "Barda," directed by Serdar Akar. That same year, he also acted in the film "Amerikalılar Karadeniz'de", directed by Kartal Tibet. He then starred in the two-year series "Köprü." Subsequently, he appeared in Çağan Irmak's film "Ulak." He again acted in another film directed by Çağan Irmak, "Issız Adam", playing the lead role alongside Cemal Hünal. With this role, the actor made a major breakthrough and went on to appear in productions such as "Bu Kalp Seni Unutur mu?", "Adını Sen Koy", "Avrupa Yakası", "İşler Güçler", "Leyla ile Mecnun", and "Kod Adı 46".
