**Break Your Heart's Chain**, produced in 1980, is a dramatic love story directed by Şerif Gören, produced by Selim Soydan and cinematography by Erdoğan Engin. The film dramatically tells the internal conflicts of a couple and the promise they made to each other in the shadow of social changes in Turkey in the 1970s. While the images create a dark atmosphere with the foggy lights of the city streets, the facial expressions of the characters draw the viewer in deeply.
