Sex and the City 2 meets in the atmosphere where the enchantment of its first film has faded, with four women swept away from New York to exotic and luxurious locations in their second step. Despite the glittering continuance of their lives, the realities that follow the wedding table and the roles of motherhood do not transform the story into the expected fresh comedy flow. Although the visual richness and fashion scenes of the film are stylish, the internal conflicts of the characters sometimes remain superficial, leaving the viewer halfway in establishing an emotional connection. The main problem with the production lies in the occasional slowing down of the pace and the lack of expected originality; some scenes evoke a feeling of being stuck in overused clichés, while the sharpness of the dialogues does not fully preserve the elegant humor of the first part. There is excitement in Sarah Jessica Parker and her team reuniting, but the film seems to be a bit too general in its treatment of the "getaway with friends" theme and lacks the depth that could create the expected surprise. 🏰🌴
