Biography

Curtis James Jackson III, known professionally as 50 Cent, was born on July 6, 1975, in Queens, New York.
Raised in the challenging conditions of South Jamaica neighborhood, Jackson was raised by his grandmother after losing his mother at a young age.
Although he became involved in illegal activities during his youth, his talent and passion for music led him down a different path.
Despite being shot nine times in an armed attack in 2000, he survived and wrote an incredible comeback story.
Discovered by Eminem and Dr. Dre, his album "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" (2003) made him an international rap superstar.
It did not take long for him to carry his success in music into cinema.
He experienced his first significant acting role in the semi-autobiographical film "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" (2005), directed by Jim Sheridan and inspired by his own life story.
His performance in that film demonstrated that he was not only a musician but also a talented actor.
Subsequently, he took on a dramatic role alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Jessica Biel in the war drama "Home of the Brave" (2006), which focuses on veterans of the Iraq War.

With legends such as Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, he solidified his place in Hollywood by appearing in "Righteous Kill" (2008). He demonstrated his seriousness regarding acting by losing approximately 25 kilograms to portray a cancer-stricken footballer in "All Things Fall Apart" (2011). Jackson became a sought-after name in the action genre, starring alongside Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger in "Escape Plan" (2013) and its sequels. Additionally, he appeared in successful action-thrillers such as "Southpaw" (2015) with Jake Gyllenhaal and "Den of Thieves" (2018) with Gerard Butler. Beyond cinema, he left his mark on groundbreaking projects in the television world. In 2014, he both starred as the lead actor and served as a showrunner for the crime drama "Power," which premiered on Starz and became a major phenomenon. The series' success led to the creation of numerous spin-off projects, including "Power Book II: Ghost" and "Power Book III: Raising Kanan."

Through G-Unit Film & Television, which he founded, he continues to produce popular series such as "BMF". Most recently, 50 Cent, who appeared in the film "Expend4bles" (2023), maintains his status as one of the most influential figures in the entertainment industry both as an actor and a producer.
