Biography
Jack Champion was born in Virginia, USA, on November 16, 2004.
During his childhood, Champion developed a strong interest in acting and began his career by appearing in school plays and small local projects.
In the early years of his professional film career, he played minor roles in films such as "The Divergent Series: Insurgent" (2015).
His first appearance before a wide audience came in Marvel Cinematic Universe's major production "Avengers: Endgame" (2019), where he portrayed the boy on a bicycle encountered by Scott Lang in a brief scene.
However, the unique opportunity that completely transformed the talented young actor's life and turned him into a globally recognized star arrived with James Cameron's box office record-breaking epic series "Avatar: The Way of Water" (2022), one of cinema history's legendary directors.
At just 12 years old, he won the challenging casting process and earned the role of Miles "Spider" Socorro, a wild human child raised in Na'vi culture on Pandora.
For this challenging role, Champion spent much of his adolescence on the film's set in New Zealand; he prepared with immense dedication for his part by undergoing training in free diving, archery, parkour, and intense physical movement. The emotional depth and physical exertion he brought to his character made him one of Hollywood's most talked-about and sought-after young talents. Following the massive wind generated by "Avatar," the actor continued his career without slowing down with popular projects across different genres; he also showcased his talent in the thriller genre by portraying Ethan Landry in the highly acclaimed sequel "Scream VI" (2023). Within the same year, he further solidified his place in studio films by starring alongside veteran actor Liam Neeson in the action-thriller "Retribution" (2023). In addition to box-office hits, Champion chose to prove himself in independent cinema, delivering a performance in the period drama "Freaky Tales" (2024) alongside names such as Pedro Pascal and Ben Mendelsohn.
Despite his young age, Jack Champion has gained experience in some of the biggest projects in the film industry and will return to his iconic role as Spider in "Avatar: Fire and Ash" (2025) and other upcoming sequels currently in development for the franchise, steadily advancing his promising career.
