Biography

John Bradley-West was born on September 15, 1988, in Manchester, England. The English actor spent his childhood in the Wythenshawe district and completed his acting training at the Manchester Metropolitan University School of Theatre. His career story has been marked by a remarkably fortunate and striking beginning compared to many of his peers in the industry; indeed, Bradley secured the role that would change his life just three months after graduating from drama school during his first professional casting call. This role catapulted him to worldwide fame as Samwell Tarly in HBO's record-breaking series "Game of Thrones" (2011–2019). Starting as the intelligent, bookish, and loyal member of the Night's Watch, the character of Samwell evolved into a master who gradually revealed the most critical information in the story. Bradley's heartfelt and emotional performance made him one of the most beloved figures in the series. Throughout all eight seasons, remaining on screen as Jon Snow's closest friend and strategic mind, Bradley earned various award nominations alongside the show's production team during this period.

As the series continued, he appeared as a guest star playing Giovanni de' Medici in the historical drama "Borgia" (2011) and lived his first cinematic experience with a small role in Joe Wright's adaptation of "Anna Karenina" (2012).
Later, he demonstrated his versatility across different genres by working alongside Stanley Tucci and Natalie Dormer in the horror-thriller "Patient Zero" (2018).
Following the conclusion of "Game of Thrones," John Bradley opened a new chapter in his career by taking on a significant leading role in Roland Emmerich's high-budget science fiction disaster film "Moonfall" (2022) on the big screen.
In the film, he portrayed KC Houseman, a conspiracy theorist who discovers the Moon is leaving its orbit, shouldering both the comedic and heroic burdens of the story.
That same year, he appeared as manager Collin Calloway in the romantic comedy "Marry Me" (2022), starring Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson.
In the near future, however, John Bradley will.

Reuniting with Weiss, he portrayed the character Jack Rooney in Netflix's ambitious science fiction series "3 Body Problem" (2024), continuing his successful career.
