P.J. Byrne

Paul Jeffrey "P.J." Byrne was born on December 15, 1974, in Maplewood, New Jersey, USA. Having grown up in New Jersey, Byrne graduated from Boston College with a double major in finance and theatre, and later reinforced his acting training by earning a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree from the DePaul University School of Theatre in Chicago. After appearing on stage in New York early in his career, Byrne moved to Los Angeles and quickly became one of Hollywood's most recognized and busy character actors. Known for his energetic and comedic roles, the actor built his career with small but memorable parts in major productions such as "Bruce Almighty" (2003), "Fun with Dick and Jane" (2005), and "Charlie Wilson's War" (2007). He gained wider recognition through his performances in comedies like "Dinner for Schmucks" (2010) and "Horrible Bosses" (2011). One of the most significant turning points in his career was playing Nicky "Rugrat" Koskoff in Martin Scorsese's Oscar-nominated film "The Wolf of Wall Street" (2013), a role that showcased his talent on a global scale.

He also appeared in box office hits such as "Rampage: The Big Destruction" (2018) alongside Dwayne Johnson. His most iconic role in voice acting is that of Bolin, a kind and funny earthbender, in the highly acclaimed animated series "The Legend of Korra" (2012–2014).
