The themes of unemployment and loneliness in Paris are presented to the audience blended with a dark atmosphere that reflects the character's internal collapse. The scene where the young man's suicide attempt is stopped serves as the starting point that triggers his sense of guilt, while the surveillance process initiated by the police forms the fundamental conflict that intensifies the character's psychological pressure. In line with the genre expectations of the production, tension elements are developed using a language that externalizes the anxiety within the character's inner world. The flow of the plot deepens the audience's empathy for the character's loneliness and against environmental pressures, while clearly emphasizing the mechanism by which social isolation leads to individual destruction in terms of thematic consistency.

Pros & Cons

✔ Pros

  • Severe social issues such as social isolation and unemployment are addressed in an intimate manner through the character's internal collapse.
  • The scene in which the young man's suicide attempt is stopped serves as a powerful starting point for triggering feelings of guilt.
  • The surveillance process, initiated by the police intervention, successfully establishes the central conflict that intensifies the character's psychological pressure.

✖ Cons

  • While the mechanism leading to individual destruction through social isolation is clearly highlighted, proposed solutions remain lacking.
