Boyd Holbrook

Robert Boyd Holbrook was born on September 1, 1981, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
Holbrook's career began by chance; while working as a carpenter at a theatre in Kentucky, he was discovered by a modelling agency.
Shortly thereafter, he moved to New York and signed with Elite Models, establishing an internationally successful career by modelling for leading global brands such as Gucci, Jean Paul Gaultier, Hugo Boss, and Dior Homme.
While continuing his modelling career, Holbrook discovered his interest in acting; he took courses in screenwriting and film production at New York University and received acting training at the William Esper Studio.
He secured his first film role in Gus Van Sant's critically acclaimed 2008 film "Milk".
In the early years of his career, he appeared in supporting roles in television series such as "The Big C" and films like "Out of the Furnace" (2013).
His role in David Fincher's thriller "Gone Girl" (2014) brought him to the attention of a wider audience.

The role that transformed Boyd Holbrook into an internationally recognized actor was DEA agent Steve Murphy in Netflix's globally acclaimed series "Narcos" (2015–2016). Holbrook, who starred in the first two seasons of the series, received widespread acclaim for this performance. Following this success, he became one of Hollywood's most sought-after talents and further solidified his place in cinema by portraying the charismatic yet ruthless villain Donald Pierce in the highly praised 2017 film "Logan."
