Biography

Ebon Moss-Bachrach was born on March 19, 1977, in Amherst, Massachusetts, USA.
As the son of a music teacher father and a school operator mother, he grew up immersed in an artistic environment.
After graduating from Columbia University in New York, he began his acting career with small roles in theatre productions and independent films.
From the early 2000s onward, he established a steady presence in cinema and television, becoming known for his character roles.
In the early stages of his career, he gained experience through supporting roles in films such as "Mona Lisa Smile" (2003) and "The Lake House" (2006), as well as in miniseries like "John Adams" (2008).
However, one of the projects that introduced him to a wider audience was the HBO series "Girls" (2015–2017), created by Lena Dunham.
In this series, he garnered critical attention for his portrayal of Desi Harper, a complex and often infuriating musician.
This role marked a significant step in demonstrating his ability to add depth to characters.
Another major project was Marvel's Netflix series "The Punisher" (2017).

Moss-Bachrach, who portrayed David Lieberman / Micro, Frank Castle's ally in the series, received widespread acclaim for this performance. Although he had been a respected character actor in the industry for many years, it was his role in the FX series "The Bear," which began in 2022, that propelled Ebon Moss-Bachrach to global recognition and marked a breakthrough in his career. The character of Richard "Richie" Jerimovich, whom he played in the series, is considered the peak of his career. Moss-Bachrach masterfully portrayed Richie's emotional transformation and journey of self-discovery throughout the seasons, starting as an initially irritable and resistant-to-change character, earning critical acclaim for this performance. Thanks to this iconic role, he won numerous prestigious awards, including a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series and a Golden Globe Award. Following the significant success brought by "The Bear," Moss-Bachrach became one of Hollywood's most sought-after actors and took on the role of Ben Grimm / The Thing in Marvel Cinematic Universe's highly anticipated film "The Fantastic Four: First Steps."

This role is seen as the beginning of a new and exciting period in her career.
