Jerome Flynn

Jerome Patrick Flynn was born on 16 March 1963 in Bromley, Kent, England.
The son of actor and singer Eric Flynn and drama teacher Fern Flynn, Flynn grew up in a family immersed in the arts and completed his education at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
Although he appeared in films such as "A Summer Story" (1988) and "To Kill a Priest" (1988) during the early years of his career, he first gained significant recognition in the United Kingdom through television.
He made his major breakthrough with his portrayal of firefighter Kenny "Rambo" Baskin in ITV's long-running series "London's Burning" (1988).
The military drama series "Soldier Soldier", in which he starred during the 1990s, marked an interesting and unexpected turning point in Flynn's career.
His duet with co-star Robson Green on the song "Unchained Melody" caught the attention of producer Simon Cowell, leading the duo to transform into a pop music group named "Robson & Jerome".
Their albums and cover songs reached the top of the UK music charts and sold millions of copies.

However, following this intense and sudden fame, Flynn chose to take a long break from his acting career and the music world to embark on a spiritual journey, living in seclusion in Wales. The monumental comeback that propelled Jerome Flynn to global stardom and introduced him to a new generation of viewers was achieved through his portrayal of the mercenary Bronn in HBO's phenomenal series "Game of Thrones" (2011–2019). When combined with the dynamic he formed with Tyrion and Jaime Lannister, as well as the character's pragmatic intelligence, dark humor, and masterful fighting skills, Bronn became one of the most memorable and beloved characters in the series. This eight-season adventure earned him a worldwide loyal fanbase. As "Game of Thrones" continued, Flynn further demonstrated his dramatic acting prowess by portraying the tough and loyal Detective Sergeant Bennet Drake in BBC's critically acclaimed period drama "Ripper Street" (2012–2016), a performance that also garnered him a BAFTA TV Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Additionally, he received acclaim for his performance in "Shut Up and Dance," one of the most tense episodes of the cult anthology series "Black Mirror" (2016).

In cinema, he brought Dr. Gachet to life with both his voice and image in "Loving Vincent" (2017), the world's first animation film created entirely in oil paint. He also appeared in action cinema, portraying the character Berrada in "John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum" (2019). More recently, he joined the "Yellowstone" universe with the series "1923" (2022), where he played the ruthless Scottish shepherd Banner Creighton, further cementing his success in villain roles. Alongside his artistic career, Flynn has been a vegetarian since his youth and is an ardent animal rights advocate who actively works with various environmental organizations such as PETA.
