Kit Harington

Christopher Catesby "Kit" Harington was born on December 26, 1986, in Acton, London, England.
The son of a former playwright mother and a businessman father who held the title of 15th Baronet, Harington traces his lineage to a distinguished English aristocratic family, descending from King Charles II through his father's side.
After studying drama and theatre at Worcester Sixth Form College, he continued his education at the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama, graduating in 2008.
He made a swift and impactful debut in his professional career while still attending the theatre school by portraying Albert Narracott, the lead role in the National Theatre's award-winning production "War Horse".
This performance garnered attention within the theatre world, but it was HBO's fantasy epic "Game of Thrones" (2011–2019) that propelled him to international superstardom.
Despite this being his first screen appearance, he portrayed one of the series' central characters, "Jon Snow."
His journey, beginning as the illegitimate son of the North and culminating in leadership, made him the most beloved face of the show and earned him a Primetime Emmy nomination, bringing him global fame.

As his television series continued, he also began building a film career. After making his debut in cinema with "Silent Hill: Karabasan" (2012), he showcased his physical transformation and potential as an action star by starring in the historical action film "Pompeii" (2014). In the film "Testament of Youth" (2014), he received full marks from critics for his dramatic performance during World War I. Additionally, he voiced the character Eret in "How to Train Your Dragon 2" (2014) and its sequel. With the BBC miniseries "Gunpowder" (2017), in which he portrayed his ancestor Robert Catesby and also served as a producer, he revealed another facet of his career. Following the era of "Game of Thrones," he joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the film "Eternals" (2021) as Dane Whitman. Returning to his theatrical roots, he appeared on stage in the plays "True West" and "Henry V" (2022). The actor, who recently joined the cast of the third season of the HBO series "Industry" and starred in the film "Blood for Dust" (2023), is married to his co-star Rose Leslie, whom he met on the set of "Game of Thrones."
