Milla Jovovich

Milla Jovovich, born Milica Bogdanovna Jovovich on December 17, 1975, in Kiev, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union.
An actress of Ukrainian-American descent, supermodel, musician, and fashion designer, Jovovich has become one of the most renowned female action stars of the 21st century, particularly through her roles in science fiction and action films.
After emigrating from the Soviet Union to the United States with her family during her childhood, she launched her modeling career at a very young age.
At 12 years old, she appeared on the cover of the Italian fashion magazine Lei, drawing widespread attention, and quickly became one of the world's most sought-after models.
In addition to her modeling career, Jovovich ventured into acting; following her early films such as Return to the Blue Lagoon (1991), she achieved her major breakthrough with director Luc Besson's cult science fiction film The Fifth Element (1997).
The character of Leeloo, an extraterrestrial being she portrayed in this film, propelled her to international stardom and secured her an iconic place in cinema history.

However, the project that transformed Milla Jovovich into a global action icon and inextricably linked her name to video game culture was the "Resident Evil" film series, adapted from Capcom's famous game franchise.
Beginning in 2002 and spanning six films, she portrayed Alice, a character created specifically for the movies.
Her performances in "Resident Evil" (2002), "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" (2004), "Resident Evil: Extinction" (2007), "Resident Evil: Afterlife" (2010), "Resident Evil: Retribution" (2012), and "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" (2017) established her as one of Hollywood's most reliable action actresses.
Her relationship with the series' director, Paul W.S. Anderson, which began on the sets of these films, culminated in marriage.
She continued to build on her success in video game adaptations by taking the lead role in "Monster Hunter" (2020), another film adapted from a popular game series and directed by her husband, Paul W.S. Anderson.
In addition to her acting career, Milla Jovovich also released albums such as "The Divine Comedy." With an impressive career that evolved from fashion icon to one of modern cinema's most powerful action heroines, she stands out prominently.
