Paul Walter Hauser

Paul Walter Hauser was born on October 15, 1986, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. He was raised in Saginaw, Michigan, by a Lutheran minister father and mother. Having developed an interest in theatre and improvisational comedy during high school, Hauser dropped out of college to pursue his acting career and moved to Los Angeles. In the early stages of his career, he appeared in small roles on television series such as "Community," "Key & Peele," and "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." His first notable performance came in 2017 with the film "I, Tonya," where he portrayed the character Shawn Eckhardt. This role demonstrated his talent as a character actor. He subsequently gained wider recognition for his portrayal of Ivanhoe in Spike Lee's critically acclaimed 2018 film "BlacKkKlansman." However, the turning point in Paul Walter Hauser's career was Clint Eastwood's 2019 film "Richard Jewell," in which he played Richard Jewell, a security officer who prevented a bombing at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics but was later wrongly suspected.

Hauser, who received widespread acclaim for his leading role performance, won the "Best Breakout Performance" award from the National Board of Review and established his name among Hollywood's talented actors.
