Clayface (2026)

Matt Hagen's rise from Gotham to Hollywood and his subsequent, unexpected disconnect from reality form the film's central conflict. Director James Watkins attempts to maintain the tension elements required by the genre while depicting the character's descent into a spiral of revenge, yet the plot's unexpected twists advance with such sharp momentum that they will surprise the audience. The protagonist's isolation in his search for technological treatment and the destructive attitude he develops toward those around him both reinforce the thematic consistency and satisfy genre expectations. However, the unforeseen consequences of this cutting-edge treatment may lead some viewers to question whether the story progresses in full alignment with its internal logic.
