Lanterns (2026)

In Damon Lindelof's film, intergalactic police officers John Stewart and legendary Hal Jordan become entangled in a dark mystery while investigating a murder at the heart of America. The strong characterization, particularly the deep portrait of Hal Jordan, stands out; the narrative successfully maintains the tension required by the genre by presenting dynamics between both rookie and experienced officers. The film's overall pacing and thematic consistency are supported by a balanced structure that foregrounds character development within a complex mystery plot. The actors' performances and the richness offered by the script engage the audience with the story's flow; however, some critical voices draw attention by sharply criticizing the work's excesses and certain ideological themes.
