The central conflict of the film Saplantı is built upon a powerful narrative framework that depicts how a romantic desire confronts its dark consequences. Director Curry Barker successfully employs the genre's expected elements of tension while exploring a hopeless love story; however, significant gaps in the logical foundation of the plot and contradictions in the characters' motivations leave the audience bewildered. In particular, the protagonist's decisions based on madness and the distortion of their perception of reality undermine the film's psychological depth, resulting in a structure that fails to fully meet genre expectations.
